The session could be held in a classroom with the desks stacked and chairs set out in a horseshoe formation.
Each session has a maximum of 30 children. The class teacher needs to be present for both sessions.

Course funding
All state-funded schools in England are now required to teach first aid as part of the health education curriculum. Physical health and mental wellbeing (Primary and secondary) - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)
This training can be funded via your school’s ‘Sports Premium’ funding . Hence your school budget does not need to be touched. To enable use of Sports Premium funds , your school will need to show that the first aid training is an initiative which is ‘Sustainable and benefits all pupils’. This would require the initiative to be included on the ‘Sports Premium’ action plan as annual training- hence ‘Sustainable’.If a parent’s session was also included after school for AED awareness and CPR, this would then ‘benefit all pupils’.

We believe that every school child should learn basic first aid skills but this is difficult and costly to schools.
Our answer is to offer a free video online course to all school students in the UK where they can not only learn first aid skills but also learn how to use online training courses which will help improve their ICT skills. This online training is provided by Pro Trainings.
If you would like more information about the free online training then it is available by following this link.
Student First Aid Course - Online Training (protrainings.uk)
On the course, various first aid subjects are covered to encourage children to help someone in need but to also ensure that they keep themselves safe at all time and make sure that they get help.
All Pro Training first aid courses fully meet the latest UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements.
The school has the option of purchasing a follow up session from ourselves which provides a 2 hour practical hands-on session per class where the students experience using CPR manikins (Adult, child and baby). The students also practice using a choking vest on manikins and their friends. Finally they will learn how to place their friend into the recovery position.
